I Voted Today!

I voted today, but I wasn't happy about it. I was all set to vote for ol' Huckabee. He doesn't really have a chance at the nomination, but he's my pick right now because I do believe in the Fair Tax. I'm not sure what I'll do come November.

You want to know what I'm upset about?

Apparently, I am registered as a Democrat instead of a Republican (even though I'm REALLY a Libertarian).

A Dem. O. CRAT.

WTF? When did that happen? Stupid college. I'm sure I registered as a Dem when I was all touchy-feely, save-the-earth crazy. Don't bother with the hate mail.

Now that I'm all let-my-family-keep-what-it-earns, let-me-make-my-own-decisions-I'm-totally-capable I'm annoyed that I thought I changed my registration and didn't.

I had to vote for that UFO-spotting Kucinich. You're welcome.

The Soccer Mom Vote

I'm over at The Soccer Mom Vote today. We have a raging debate on whether the United States should or should not have universal health care. Please go check it out. If you choose to comment, please comment over there so the responses are all in one place. I'd love to know what you think. Thanks!

Soccer Mom Vote: Life Lessons and Control Issues

I just posted over at The Soccer Mom Vote. I'd be interested in your comments, but please leave them over there so the discussion will be centralized. Thanks!

Political Ideology: Who's Your Candidate?

I'm a Boing Boing addict. I have them in my bloglines and peruse the new posts all day long. Some are funny, some are interesting, some are helpful, some are not my cup of tea. This one, though, I have to share. It's a table (technical writers unite!) giving a basic idea of what issues the eleventy million candidates in the Democratic and Republican camps basically support or don't support. If you haven't been doing your research, this may be a place for you start.

There is also a site that lets you decide how important issues are to you and then matches you up with the candidate that most closely resembles your ideal.
