I've missed the last few weeks of Caption This Saturday because we bought a new iBook Pro and I'm still trying to figure out just where my pictures are and how to crop them and all that other stuff. By a crazy fluke that I may not be able to repeat on my own, I have a picture for you this week.
While I was making dinner on Tuesday, I poured some olive oil in a pan. This is the design it made. I have my own thoughts of what it is, but I'd love to hear what you think.
If you want to see what I think, you can highlight the text on the next line. (I made it white so you can't see it without highlighting it.)
Mick Jagger's lips getting ready to chomp a guitar.

Update: Y'all are freakin' HILARIOUS! I am still laughing and it's Sunday evening. I'll just going along, doin' my thing, and then something like 'Nair' will pop into my head and then all focus goes right out the door. You guys are awesome!

This is our last week of summer. Technically, it's our last three days of summer. School begins on Thursday. I will be alone from 8:30am to 4:00pm because my children insist on riding the bus. I have offered to take and pick up every day, but they are having none of it. You see, if I take and pick up, that means I'm only alone from 8:45-3:25. Every minute counts. Even after I tried to bribe them by saying I could probably get Shannon's kids to ride with us, it was no go.
I look back on our summer and I wonder, "Where on earth did it go?"
Well, there was Iowa. Where we had fun at the lake and lit sparklers.
The merry-go-round at my grandparents' farm. I played on it as a girl.
Sunset on the lake at Auntie M's house.
Then there's my home town where my brother and his family visited. My word aren't my nephews cute?
We raced at the small park.
We enjoyed birthday celebrations.
This kid loves him some chocolate cupcake.
There was Chicago and BlogHer '07. Where we ate at Playboy Headquarters and didn't even know it until we left. And me without my bunny ears.
This is where we stayed. Don't you love how they are so "in" they have grass in planters NEXT TO the grass? I'm telling you, it was deep. And me without my waders.
The Magnificent Mile had these wonderful dresses throughout. I want to make this one for myself and wear it to the Christmas party this year.
Shannon and Chili on the Navy Pier
The Peeps. I love that the sepia gives it an old-timey feel.
The most decadent dessert I've ever seen or tasted. It was carrot cake deep fried and coated with powdered sugar. No, I did not eat it all.
Then there was the golf course in Michigan.
And this flower by the clubhouse.
Finally, the PGA. That's my boy getting an autograph. I'll have to tell you all about it sometime. Max really was phenomenal that day.
And so it ends, our summer of 2007. It went fast. We didn't do everything we wanted to do. Now we're out of time. I'm going to miss having them around all day.
Today I bring you one of my favorite pictures. It got caught in the scanner and, um, elongated.
