Overheard
Max: I missed three on my spelling test.
Wild Thing: Yeah, well, I missed seven.
Max: That's a D!
Wild Thing: No, it's a D-.
Max: Well, on the bright side, I got a 100 on my states and capitals test.
Wild Thing: I don't have a bright side.
Max: Of course you do. I'm your brother!

Once when my only sister and I were at odds, my mom made us each say something positive about the other.
Sister: You're good in math.
Me: You have a cool sister.
And no, I didn't get away with it. For being a smart-aleck, I was sent to clean my sister's room, and then I STILL had to come up with something nice to say.

He's certainly preparing for "Mr. Smartypants" pre-adolescence. We've got that kind of stuff going on around here every day. I can't keep up with it most days.
Wild Thing's got her work cut out for her!

Oh, considering that my brother and I barely talk to each other because... well, I don't know why really. It's really dumb when you think about it, but I can't force him to talk to me... Anyway, I think that is a huge bright side in the scheme of life!

Sounds like something my brother would've said!

I feel he may be bound for lawyerdom and Wild Thing the therapist's couch.
