Bloggy Giveaway: Mansfield Park

Carnival_buttonThis giveaway is now closed.

I love to read. I love to watch movies. If both of those happen to be Jane Austen stories, all the better. Today I am going to share with you my love of Jane Austen.

Today's giveaway is the book Mansfield Park and the movie Mansfield Park. So you can read the book, then watch the movie. Or vice versa.

Wanna win it? Leave me a comment on this post. That's it! Of course, I'd love it if you wrote something besides "Pick me!" or "I want this!" because I'd rather read about how you love Jane Austen and could spend all day watching her movies back-to-back or reading her books. But any comment counts.

The only thing I ask is that you don't enter more than once because duplicate entries will mean that you don't get any entries. Just so you know and all. And no anonymous comments because, hello? How can I contact you if you're anonymous? Just sayin'.

  • This giveaway is open to US residents only because I'm nothing if not a total procrastinator and cheap to boot.
  • You don't have to be a blogger to play along.
  • I'll pick a winner on Friday and contact you that same day via e-mail. You have four days to respond. If I don't hear from you by then, I'll have to choose a new winner. Make sure you're checking your spam folder.

Please note: This DVD is a plain ol' DVD. Not Hi-Def. Not Blu-Ray. Just a plain ol' DVD. The book is just a plain ol' paperback book. Perfect to take in the car or to the pool this summer. The nice things about books are that they're so portable.

I love Jane... hope I win! :-)

I Love Jane Austin. Great set of books. I am sure I read this one when I was younger. Would Love to have a chance to reread it, and see the movie as she is a true classic in herself. Too bad they still do not do the classics like this in the schools anymore.

I have always been interested in Jane Austen, but have never seen or read any of her material. Please include me in your drawing.
Thanks

My favorite author! Thank you!

Enter me please, I am a huge Jane Austen fan and would love to own the movie and the book! In fact all of the movies are on my to buy movie list! This is a fabulous prize!!!!

Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors, and Mansfield park is the book that I don't have!
Thanks for this giveaway.

Mansfield Park was one of the last books of Jane's that I read. I so wanted to smack Henry and Mary!! Thanks for the great offer.

More Jane??? Wow! Sounds fantastic. I have not seen this version of Mansfield Park or read the book. I would love to!

I haven't saw Mansfield Park and would love too. If the showed it on PBS I must have missed it.

I have not read a lot of Jane Austen books, but love the movies. They are perfect for a indoor day with nothing to do!

Thanks

I love Jane Austen but only have one of her books (and it's not Mansfield Park). My hubby and I just watched all of PBS's "The Complete Jane Austen" on Masterpiece and loved them. Do I have a great man or what--he loves a good chick flick!

I love reading and movies.I got exposed to Jane Austen way back in the 80's when I was in high school.I found it enjoyable even though we were forced to read it in english class!

I started reading Jane Austen when I was about 10 years old. My grandmother had a stash of old books on shelves under her house, right next to home canned jars of spiced peaches and tomato relish. It was cool and private under there in the hot Texas summer, and I could curl up and read for hours without anyone saying, why are you sitting around reading, when you could be outside playing in the fresh air? I loooooved Elizabeth Bennett (still do), and was overcome with joy when I discovered at the local branch library that there were actually 5 more books by Jane! (we were on a first name basis after just the one book, you see). Many years later(I won't say exactly how many) Jane was one of the four primary sources for my dissertation. Which just goes to show that you never know where a ten-year-old's infatuation with Jane Austen will lead.

I'm loving these Jane Austen giveaways!

I love Jane Austin but this is one movie & book that I haven't read. A good "modern day Austin" read is Austinland by Shannon Hale.

I've not seen this movie at all. No need for Blu-Ray or Hi-Def here, we're just plain 'ole dvd watchers. Mansfield Park would be one I've not seen, nor read, but would like to win.

I have never seen Mansfield Park or read the book but I love Jane Austen's works!

Oooh! I've never seen the movie and would love to own a copy! Sense and Sensibility is my favorite Austen, but Mansfield Park is fun as well--it has such great characters!

Like I said on your Emma giveaway...I LOVE JANE AUSTEN! Please enter me. Thanks again for the chance to win!!

YAY, what a great giveaway! I have not read that book or seen that movie...I would LOVE to win and revel in Jane Austen a while! :D Thanks!!

Mansfield Park is probably my favorite Jane Austen novel. I would love to enter your giveaway. My neighbor and I try to have a "movie night" every month or so (away from husbands and kids, LOL!). This would be perfect. Thanks!

MP is my favorite JA book. I haven't seen the movie yet, though.

I don't think I've seen the movie. Horrifying I know! Great giveaway! Count me in. bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com

I love Jane Austen but I haven't seen this one yet. I'd love to!
