The February Funk
Apparently I took a blogging break last week and didn't even plan it. Therefore, I told no one including myself. I didn't plan to not post anything besides reviews. I simply didn't feel like it. Probably because our days around here are looking like this:
We have entered the February Funk phase of winter. I need some sunlight, y'all. All I want to do is curl up in a ball under the covers with my cat on my legs and sleep. When I'm awake I want to eat then take a nap. I am a bear.
This week I have plans. I want to tell you about the artistic tendencies of my son when he was 18 months old. The party-planning maniac my husband is. The most amazing gift I've ever given. Where leprechauns live. I'm working on something with Shannon.
Must. Keep. Going.
It should be a much better week than last week if I can just take it a step at a time and keep moving.
It still looks the same outside.

Welcome back... I for one missed ya!
However, I must say that sky is my favorite kind.. maybe it's because I grew up in Portland, OR where it rains a lot. I LOVE silver skies! :)

I hear ya!! I am so ready for Spring. We had snow this weekend and even my 2 year old didn't want to go play in it. Enough is enough!!

It's not so much the weather here but the FLU that has all of us, (mostly me), down for the count. Yes I'm ready for this to be over and have some lovely spring-ness all around!

I was thinking that when I saw your comment on my post this morning...."she's been quiet, where'd she go?" and I TOTALLY get it, this is the part where I am getting itchy to be done with winter and the cabin fever starts to kick in hard core.
Glad you are trudging thru the blahs!

Hey, stranger. Keep plodding along. The sun has to shine someday, right? ;-)

I always knew you were funky freshy, my friend. I'm feeling the funk in a big way to, in the blog, in the exercising, in general. It'll be spring soon and we'll all be free and shiny in the sunlight.

"Baby steps it to the elevator..." Ten points if you can tell me what movie that came from. (you made me think of it!)
And...well, sometimes it just hard to get motivated when the sun isn't shining. :) Missed you last week! Glad to see you're putting one foot in front of the other - you'll get there eventually! ;)

You know I am right there with you, based on the plethora of posts I have done about how over the weather I am. Lucky me, though, we are under yet another winter storm warning starting at 4pm today, more snow. Joy.

Yes, February sucks. Badly. On the bright side, there's only a few more days of this hideous month left. And then on Saturday I'm lifting a glass to spring.

What's that I smell? I think it's Pepperidge Farm Goldfish?

I thought of you and your "Funk" when I saw this on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2alJObBYkdg

I have no words of comfort for you. You went to see AM without me. You should be out of your funk now until April. Sangria Swirl - Hmph. Not that I'm envious/jealous/sad to have missed it or anything...
Glad you had your much needed break. I'm not in a funk, but I sure could use some 80 degree weather!

I feel you. It's weird though, here in the NorthWest it's been eerily sunny. I never remember a February with so much sun. When the sun comes out here we all put on our flip flops and pretend we're in Cali. Washingtonians know how to take advantage of sunny days.

My kids are always whining about moving to a snowy place. Down here in Texas, we only have one degree-humid. But after reading your blog, I'll take that. Cheer Up. February is almost over.

I hope you will get the sunlight you desire, but I have to say that is a beautiful picture you took.
