Hi there.  My name is Melanie. Some people know me as Chilihead. Shannon, over at Rocks In My Dryer, originally started Bloggy Giveaways. When she was ready to retire, she sent out boxes of chocolate with five golden tickets buried somewhere in the wrappers. I was one of the lucky recipients, toured her blogging factory, didn't give the secrets to Slugworth, and won the prize. Something like that.

Writing at my other blog has taught me many things, among them that it is FUN to host giveaways.  I love it.

Enter this blog, which is simply a home for hosting giveaways.  The idea is simple, really.  Companies both large and small are interested in getting their products out there in front of you, the consumer.  And you, presumably, are interested in the chance to win free stuff.

So when companies contact me, interested in giving out buzz-generating free stuff, I pass the chance to win on to you in a post highlighting their product.  You leave a comment on the post.  After a couple of days, I draw a random winner from the comments.  There are no strings attached--I won't host giveaways for any company that requires any payment (including shipping).

Now, the fine print.  I have not tried out most of the products showcased here (and if I have, I will tell you).  When I give you information on a product, I'm simply passing along the information they have given me.  I am not responsible for:

• faulty product information.
• companies that don't follow through with a promised product (though please tell me if this happens so I can shoot them dirty looks through my monitor).
• your tax liability created by receipt of a prize, should you win.

I will personally e-mail the winners to let them know they won, but if they do not respond to that e-mail within four business days, their prize is forfeited.  Another winner will be chosen.

Anyone who wins a giveaway will not be eligible to win another one at my site for 30 days.
